2) Kite: Liberator sequel could be on the way.

3) Time’s review on Miyazaki’s Ponyo confirms it’s release in the US next year. Blu Ray for all Studio Ghibli films please.

4) There’s some supposed images from the live action Dragon Ball trailer floating around. Who the hell thought this movie was a good idea again…

5) …probably the same guys who think making a live action Voltron movie is a good idea.

6) TRSI has started a new sale which has 30% off NetComics products. Coupon code is netsavings.

1) Do you like when Cicadas cry? Well, lets see if you like it when Seagulls cry.

2) Mr. Sevakis digs up Orguss 02.

3) FUNimation studio sale is still going strong at TRSI.

4) New weekly sales include Toward the Terra Part 1 for $20.99.

5) PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) begins tomorrow. Lets hope plenty of fun stuff comes out of the convention for us to gawk at.

1) FUNimation looks to be the first US anime publisher to release an anime TV series on Blu Ray.

2) Marvel turns to Madhouse for anime adaptations of their comic heroes. Sadly, I doubt this turns into anything decent.

3) Ponyo helps other Ghibli films top anime DVD charts in Japan.

4) Also, Dragon Ball JP movie cover art simply curbstomps FUNi’s.

5) Disgaea 3 for PlayStation 3 and Tales of Vesperia for Xbox 360 hit this week.

6) Ys Book I-II came out today on the Wii Virtual Console. This game was my first console RPG when it came out on the Turbo CD. First game I played with amazing sound and fully voiced too. Ah, nostalgia…

3) Right Stuf announces To Heart replacement program.

4) Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea has topped 10 billion yen ($93 million) thus far.

5) Dragon Ball DS trailer. Captures the feel of the show so damn well.

1) Tonari no 801-chan will be animated by Kyoto Animation. KyoAni fanpeople go nuts.

2) Author of the One Piece clone Fairy Tail (Hiro Mashima) interviewed by ANN.

3) Keep an eye out for 500 Essential Anime Movies. I want to get a hold of this one. I can’t think of 500 “essential” movies of any sort, let alone anime movies.

4) Kumatanchi for Nintendo DS looks ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE.

5) The long promised PC-exclusive Bioware title Dragon Age: Origins will be hitting consoles. A lesson never to believe a freakin’ word out of any developer’s mouth ever. I predict a gigantic piracy backlash from disgruntled PC gamers.

2) Answerman takes on another round of questions.

3) Digital Manga Inc. launches emanga.com. The first manga rental website.

4) More Anime scheduled to hit Blu Ray in Japan. U.S publishers are still slow as dirt on the format.

5) Akuma was revealed in Street Fighter IV. Sadly, he looks to be in his wussy, 3rd Strike state.

2) Bandai Entertainment owns up to Code Geass issues.

3) By the way, Code Geass R2 will hit Adult Swim.

4) Right Stuf models Haruhi and Gravitation T-Shirts…with sexy results.

5) New Final Fantasy XI boss seems impossible. Horrible memories flood back into my being. =(

1) Kenshiro and Yuria will be wed to mark Hokuto no Ken’s 25th anniversary.
2) Kay Bailey discusses the Top 5 Anime Games not in the US. Big, fat “Duh” to the number one spot.
3) Casshern Sins announced with trailer. Designs take a tumble.
4) Bangai O Spirits for Nintendo DS comes out today. Forget Madden and play a real sport; Mecha Baseball!
5) Capcom announces PS1 version (not superior arcade version) of Street Fighter Alpha for PlayStation Network. Proves they just have no damned clue.

Anime Tidbits : 8/11 - Otakon Edition

1) FUNimation ran out of steam by Otakon, just talked about release dates.
2) Bandai did the same, but at least they JAM’d.
3) For a company barely surviving, ADV somehow creates another label and still leaves fans wanting.
4) From pirate haven to industry savior? Crunchyroll gets bigger.
5) Otakon draws 26,000 and announces move back to July next year. Making it’s status as second fiddle even more pronounced.

Legend of Galactic Heroes Trailer

Now this is a wild surprise. A trailer for Legend of Galactic Heroes for the PC. It looks like a RTS and a pretty fun one. Of course, I have no idea if it will be any good or not but I’d love to play it.

So, uh…can someone in R1 license this series please? It’s Legend of Galactic Heroes. Please?
